November 2015
For my mom’s birthday we took a weekend trip over to Albuquerque, New Mexico. A couple years back, she had organized an incredible conference at the incredible Hyatt Regency Spa & Resort. When she described exploring the foothills of the Sandia mountains or the fact that it was created by the Santa Ana Pueblo tribe– it made it a no-brainer to go back for a relaxing destination. We spent our afternoons curled up- with a glass of wine- by the burning kivas (fire places). In the mornings, we’d walk through the various paths in the foothills. Since all we did is read and relax. This will be less of a travel guide or story telling and more photos I took across our three day visit. – Aheli
