Hello There,
Happy May. I’m a bit behind in posting but I promise I have a good excuse. I finally invested some couch time to updating the blog. Expect some cool new changes to the website coming…soon? ** crosses fingers** So life lately has been a series of highs and lows. In the highs category, I had the best weekend with my college best friends. This is one of the first girl’s* only trips I’ve taken in a long time. This may not seem unique, but given I spent four years in an awesome — some might say the BEST– all women’s college, I am so used to being surrounded by incredible and inspiring women. Flash forward ten years, and I’m working in an all-male industry where the “F-word” is not a four letter word. The weekend was obviously incredible, not just because of our 1 minute proximity to the beach, but for the mental stimulation and energy that these wonderful women provide. I came back to work on Monday, refreshed and ready to tackle the world…of data centers.
For the lows, it’s almost the one year anniversary of my aunt’s (mom’s sister) passing. She was an incredible life-force- witty, salty, brilliant. I came up to my parent’s house on Thursday for the one year memorial. It was both wonderful and sad. My mom made an elaborate 7 course Bengali vegetarian meal with some incredibly close family friends. Despite the reason for our reunion, it was a great reminder that family is not necessarily formed by blood. Anyways, spring is here. The mood is definitely lifted.
